Habitect

Step 1 of 5

Invest in Habitect

The people who use Habitect should be the people who own it. These pages set out how investing will work, step by step: who owns what, how much you can put in, the policies we keep to, and how to take part.

This is a plan, not an offer. Nothing is purchased: the $1 deposit only holds a pledge, and you can refund it at any time. The numbers are examples, not promises.

Why Habitect exists, and where it is going, is on About Habitect.

How it works

  1. Reach Sprout. Investing opens once your account reaches Sprout, the second level (3 days in a row of writing). Investors are users first.
  2. Put down $1. A $1 deposit holds your pledge, for accountability. You agree to pay the rest (up to $9,999) later, when it is called.
  3. Up to $10,000 a month. Each person invests at most $10,000 a month, so no one can buy the whole round.
  4. Every $100,000 becomes an SPV. Pledges are pooled; each $100,000 becomes a special purpose vehicle that invests in the fund as one. One investor leads each SPV, and earns extra Sun coins for it.
  5. Paid as dividends. A share is a revenue share: you get your part of what Habitect pays its owners, as dividends from what it earns or when it is sold. There is no valuation, and a share has nothing to do with how Habitect is run.
