Habitect for Mac
Your outline in its own window, with a Dock icon. It stays signed in, works offline, and updates itself every time the site does.
Install in one line
Open Terminal (⌘ Space, type Terminal), paste this and press Return:
curl -fsSL https://habitect.ai/install.sh | shIt picks the right build for your Mac, puts Habitect in Applications and opens it. No security warning to click through.
Or download the disk image
- Open the downloaded file and drag Habitect into Applications.
- Open it. macOS says Apple could not verify Habitect is free of malware: click Done. (The app is not notarized by Apple yet.)
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway next to Habitect, and confirm. You only do this once. On macOS 15 right-click → Open no longer skips the warning; this is the way.
- Or, in Terminal, clear the warning and open it:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Habitect.app && open /Applications/Habitect.app
Or install it from the browser
In Chrome, click the install icon at the end of the address bar (or ⋮ → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app). In Safari, choose File → Add to Dock. No download, same app.
